Fall Update - Iggy

Pause Home

• Upcoming Event titles now truncate to instead of wrapping or overlapping into the event time
• Upcoming Events now show WHEN the event is happening not just the time
• Weather now fades away like battery in the Pause screen and focus timer
• Background now can use static images starting with a couple background images to choose from including Zen Rocks and Mountain Landscape
• Fixed Bug that now disallows app selection when the screen is fading into Pause of Focus Clock
• Focus timer now as a stop button that goes to Pause Home
• The Home Space now shows the remaining Focus Time when active so you can see your remaining focus time from the Home Space
• Added a none background color option that will show the backgrounds with out any overlay so you can see the backgrounds clearly if you want
• Option for Transparent buttons giving the home space a beautiful translucent glass look.
• Added gorgeous new live water backgrounds for evening and daytime
• Changed the Option name from Hero Text to Show Clock or Greeting text, which is easier to understand
• Fixed Bug than now stops showing weather when Optional weather location is removed
• Add options button to list view, previously you had to scroll up in the default Home view to find options.
• Made list view and home view separate so users can either select a more traditional home space OR a simple list view
• Made secondary home screens dynamic with actual apps including options, previously these were pre-determined and did not show all available applications
• Visual Improvement Simplified and made the Home Space cleaner by removing the secondary row of explainer text
• Increased some of the font sizes on Home Space to make it more readable and easy to use
• Added a few font option in the Options section so users can further customize the look and feel of the UI
• The middle row of buttons is now customizable so you can choose which applications open, previously these were preset.
• Created more space by removing Title Section text from alarm, if no alarm is active it now says Set Alarm with a plus icon to easily add an alarm
• Now Playing section now opens podcasts instead of music if podcasts are playing
• Now Playing now shows 30 second fastforward and 10 second rewind buttons if podcast is playing and Previous Track/Next Track if music is playing
• Fixed Bug that occasionally caused water to not load properly resulting in a low res background
• Make visual backgrounds not reliant on any external files backgrounds now run locally on device without any remote dependancies needed to function
• Improved font sizing on Call and Messages buttons
• Improved Carosel button placement making switching pages more uniform
• Bug Fix Disallowed resizing of buttons due to font sizing or now playing text that occasionally caused first Home Space to overlay with the second
• Several behind the scenes code improvements
• Now Playing now defaults to open our custom Music App/MP3 Player when nothing is currently playing.
• Bug Fix Resolved an issue with the Now Playing buttons to ensure compatibility with our new music player

Music Player

• Create new Pause OS Music Player based on open source project which we have added several enhancements
• Improved stability
• Simplified UI by hiding extra file type information by default, this can be turned on in options

Somewhere Map

• Switched to using the open source project Open Street Maps for tile data
• Bug Fix updated somewhere map to new data source our previous dependancy had changed causing it to break
• Switch to Open Street Maps and comply with showing Open StreetMap name and sharing pauseos info in the header

Pause Tube

• Bug Fix: no longer loads each time it is accessed which caused a currently paused embeded video to get reloaded which the user would have to restart the video

Sync Account

• Improved the token refresh process where some tokens were not refreshing properly logging users out of pause os apps at certain intervals

Website

• Added this Updates Page to the website to more clearly communicate updates to users
• Drastically improve layout and design of the Website
• Improvements to the learn more page, more to follow
• Many under the hood code improvements

Study Music

• Massive improvements to design/layout, now shows a thumbnail from the first video in each study music playlist
• Started several new study music playlists and removed stale/old playlists

My Media - Organize your physical Movies

• Improved Layout including moved the movie genre search to near the top, now shows either genre results OR 4 random movies from your collection on the home screen
• improve the search results layout, results are now uniform sizes
• Bug Fix: Movies without Posters now show their Movie Title as the poster, previous version just said movie poster not available
• Bug Fix, fixed issue with footer not showing selected screen

Notes

• Improved Notes App design and layout, now matches color scheme of other Pause OS apps
• Touching on a note content on the details section now enters edit mode, you can still also click the edit button
• Order notes by newest first by default
• Moved New Note Button save vertical space and improve layout

Connect - Contacts

• Created a new contacts app with Tagging system to help users organize and keep in contact with contacts

More Tools

• Redesigned More tools layout, now gives user more information about the Optional applications
• Laid some groundwork to more easily keep track of updates(wip)
• Removed the 3rd party offline translator application as it opened up to the greater internet defeating the purpose of PauseSO
• Added 3rd Party open source Spam Blocker tool for users who want to try it out
• Added Street Complete an app users can improve Open Street Maps our preferred open source Maps and GPS directions application. We don't use google map data checkout out openstreetmap.org for an alternative maps you can use on your computer as well.

General Updates

• Several Visual Improvements to the UI making Pause OS much simplier, beautiful and easy to use
• Pause OS Apps now have the ability to open dialer, messages and calendar making way for the Connect app which makes connecting with and following up with contacts much easier
• Improved Speed at which PauseOS applications open
• Improved Automatic Logging in to Pause OS applications, users would occcassionally need to log out and back in to the account sync app in order for the other PauseOS apps to open. Current users should log out/in to Sync account one final time to experience the improved Authentication
• Bug Fix, some Pause OS applications previously showed the android nav bar at the bottom of the screen
• Massive improvements to the Pause.com homepage
